REACH OUT BARN
Reach Out Barn – Our Reach Out Barn is open from May through September. Hours are 4:30-7p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays, and 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Proceeds help clients of Love INC.
UNITED WOMEN IN FAITH
Foster Closet – We collect items such as books, clothing, blankets for children entering foster care.
The Torch (In Fowlerville) – We collect non-perishable food items. They pack bags with food for neighbors in need.
Monetary Donations – in 2023 we sent $14,000 to United Methodist and other agencies in the US and abroad. We also provided Hygiene Kits and supported the CROP Walk through Church World Service and put together disaster kits through the Conference.
MISSION/ OUTREACH
Monthly Missions – We pick a mission for January through October. We follow the Michigan Conference Engage MI format and contribute to all areas of mission giving.
Blanket Making – They go to Livingston County Community Connect. We make blankets year-round, and then we deliver them to the event.
Love INC’s New Creation Dinners – We have committed to making and serving 6 meals during the calendar year to feed people before they attend classes.
Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child – Every November we collect items and fill shoeboxes with items for children of all ages in other countries.
Salvation Army – In November we put up a Christmas tree in our entryway and decorate the tree with Angel Tree gift tags for children from babies to teens. We put donated gifts under the tree and hats, gloves, scarves, and mittens under the tree.
Nursing Home Ministry – We collect much-needed items for seniors and chocolate candy to brighten their Christmas season.
Jail Christmas Party – For those incarcerated in our community, we purchase white XL men’s t-shirts, men’s white socks, and chocolate candies to be distributed at their annual Christmas Party.
